A contact list is the primary container for your subscribers — each list holds contacts along with their profile data, sender settings, and statuses. You manage lists under Lists → Contact Lists, where you can switch between a flat List View and a hierarchical Folder View organized by groups.
When creating a list (Lists → Contact Lists → Add Contact List) you set the list name, an optional group for organization, and sender information: the sender name, sender email (which must use a verified sending domain), a reply-to address, and a bounce email used in the Return-Path header for bounce processing. You also assign which profile fields (custom fields) are available for contacts in the list, choose which columns appear when viewing contacts via the Prioritize Columns panel, and can add custom email headers (hyphens only in header names).
From each list's actions menu you can add or import contacts, export to CSV, make copies, split a large list, merge into another list, dedupe across lists, change groups, re-count contacts, or view import history. Bulk actions let you delete lists or contacts and reset statuses in bulk — deletes are permanent, so verify selections first.
Worth knowing: copying a list with contacts copies email addresses only (no profile field data); merging moves contacts from the current list into the destination; lists used in campaigns, segments, or triggers must be unassigned before deletion; and depending on your package, limits may apply to the number of lists and contacts.
