Drip campaigns are automated email sequences that send at timed intervals after a trigger event — for example, a welcome series that starts when someone joins a list. You manage them under Campaigns → Drip Campaigns, and they are started by Triggers configured under Actions → Triggers (events like a contact being added to a list, a profile field changing, or a form submission).
The setup has three parts:
Drip Group — holds the shared sending configuration: which sending nodes (SMTP servers) to use, tracking options (opens, clicks, unsubscribe link, skip unconfirmed), and sender details (from the sending node, the contact list, or custom).
Drips — the individual emails in the group. Each drip is built in a 3-step wizard: details (name, group, status), interval (send instantly upon triggering or after a delay in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years), and content (subject, pre-header, HTML and text body with personalization variables, Spintax, and dynamic content tags). You can also generate drip content with the AI Builder if Mumara AI is enabled.
Trigger — under Actions → Triggers, pick the event and choose "Start a drip group" as the action.
Worth knowing: drips execute by their delay timing, not list order; inactive drips never send even when triggered; deleting a drip group deletes all its drips; "Send to Existing Contacts" queues the drip for everyone already matching the trigger, so use it carefully on large lists; and test previews don't convert personalization variables.
