A broadcast is the email itself — the subject line, HTML and plain-text content that gets sent to your recipients. Broadcasts are reusable: you create one under Campaigns → Broadcasts and can then schedule it as many times as you like to different audiences.
When you click Add New, you first pick how you want to build the email: the HTML Editor for hand-coded emails, the Drag & Drop Builder for visual editing with pre-designed blocks (requires the Advanced Broadcast Builder addon), or the AI Email Builder, which generates a complete email from a plain-language prompt. You can start blank or from an installed template.
The editor is organized into three tabs:
Content — subject line and optional pre-header (both with character counters), the HTML body, and the plain-text version. Use the Insert Variable button to personalize with recipient fields like %%first_name%%, system variables such as the unsubscribe link or web version, Spintax, and dynamic content tags. You can also import existing HTML from a URL.
Settings — internal name, group, and description, plus a Responsive Email toggle that injects mobile-friendly CSS automatically, file attachments, and custom email headers.
Preview & Test — live preview in desktop, tablet, and mobile sizes, a spam score analyzer, and test sends to your own address before scheduling.
A few things worth knowing: editing a broadcast that's already used in scheduled campaigns affects all future sends (past sends are untouched); personalization variables aren't converted in test/preview emails; and if a variable isn't rendering, check its syntax with the Insert Variable picker rather than typing it by hand.
