Automations is a native Mumara Campaigns addon that runs multi-step email journeys automatically. Instead of sending one message to a whole list, you draw a workflow on a canvas: a single trigger (the event that enrols a contact) followed by any number of actions (send an email, notify the admin, copy or move the contact to another list, wait, or evaluate a condition). Each contact travels the workflow independently, on their own clock, so two contacts enrolled a week apart are each at their own step. Triggers are contact added to a list, contact edited, date based, contact opens an email, and contact clicks a link. A condition action splits the path in two — a "yes" branch and a "no" branch — based on whether the contact opened or clicked a previous email in the same workflow. Automations differs from a broadcast (one message, one moment, whole list), a drip group (fixed sequence on a fixed schedule with no branching), and an evergreen campaign (recurring send). Use Automations when the journey has more than one step, needs to wait, or needs to branch on behaviour. It requires the database queue driver and a running scheduler.
